ABOUT

We produce beers across the spectrum. Inspired by traditional British, continental and contemporary beers Daniel and Gemma launched McColl's Brewery in spring 2017 to create beautiful beers from simple ingredients.

From our urban upbringings and now rural family life to our travels and North-Eastern roots all the experiences, cultures and flavours have come together to influence our beers. With a love of both the Arts and Sciences and an appreciation of traditional and modern beer styles we aim to give our drinkers beers from across the spectrum.

Based in Teesdale, County Durham our 20-barrel brewhouse, with a fermentation capacity of 40 barrels (that’s over 12000 pints) produces a core range of four archetypal British beers in their design, ingredients, production, flavours and aromas…. and an ever-changing array of alternative beers born from our love of experimentation.

Our aim is simple – to produce beautiful beer.
